Our Christian Vision for our School
Our vision for Ewelme CE Primary School, our ambitions for our pupils and the mission statement set out below are rooted in the school’s strong Christian values and have been developed by all stakeholders within the school, including staff, pupils, parents and governors.
School’s Mission Statement:
“Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 2:4
At Ewelme we aim to develop young people who are ready, respectful, responsible, resilient and reflective meaning that, by the end of Year 6, they are not only well prepared for Secondary school and the world beyond in terms of their academic attainment, skills and knowledge, but also their values, mindset and character.

READY
Ready for learning, ready for the next step and stage of learning, ready for life in modern Britain. Being ready encompasses the school’s Christian values of hope, patience and co-operation.
RESPECTFUL
Respectful of ourselves and others, respectful of those with different beliefs and traditions to our own, respectful of the immediate, local and global environment, respectful global citizens. Being respectful encompasses the school’s Christian values of peace, respect, tolerance, thoughtfulness, friendship, love, appreciation, honesty, co-operation, trust, freedom, happiness and humility.
RESPONSIBLE
Responsible for our own behaviour and learning, responsible for looking after our environment, responsible members of our local communities, responsible global citizens. Being responsible encompasses the school’s Christian values of courage, honesty, humility, freedom, responsibility and co-operation.
RESILIENT
Resilient to set-backs and challenge, resilient in our values and beliefs. Being resilient encompasses the school’s Christian values of courage, patience, humility, trust, hope, happiness and responsibility.
REFLECTIVE
Reflective about ourselves, our own strengths and weakness and our own beliefs and values, reflective about the world around us, reflective about how we can improve and how we can improve the world around us. Being reflective encompasses the school’s Christian values of courage, honesty, happiness, humility and trust.
